Counseling Testimonials

"I was going through a hard time, suffering from depression and fits of anxiety, when I started to see Mr. Golden. It has been a number of months since, and I am the happiest I've ever been--no more depression or fits of anxiety."

Beau L., Tacoma, WA

"I have been receiving counseling from Carl for almost one year. He has a realistic and honest approach when it comes to counseling me on my PTSD, grief and anxiety. He has encouraged me, pinpointing my various strengths and behaviors to help build my confidence and feelings of self worth. Because of Carl, I feel more equipped with the skills and attitude to conquer the day-to-day stresses in my life. He has become a great resource, providing comfort and insight. We have honest conversations about my beliefs and fears, and he has helped me utilize healthy outlets as a way to work through my grief over the loss of my husband. Carl has encouraged me to advocate for myself and has helped me grow closer to fully moving on from my past. I have grown so much this year because he has been realistic about his goals for me. We have worked together to accomplish many, if not all, of these goals. I look forward to my sessions with Carl because he makes it easier to confide in someone who is just as dedicated to my health and success as I am."

Nancy P., Renton, WA

Confused? Anxious? Depressed? Frustrated? Hopeless?

Do you feel the need for supportive guidance?

I can help.

At SoulCraft, counseling and coaching are practiced with the whole person in mind. Each client is engaged within his or her life context--psychologically, physically, vocationally, socially, culturally and spiritually. This holistic approach serves the SoulCraft principle that healing, transformation, self-fulfillment and happiness naturally arise as we understand, accept and integrate the various aspects of who we are.

Areas of Therapeutic Expertise:

  • Individual Issues
(Problems arising from anxiety, phobias and PTSD, as well as issues with poor self-esteem, low self-confidence, depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, neurotic behavior, anger management and spiritual emergencies.)

  • Couples Issues
(Problems arising from infidelity, trust issues, poor communication, spousal abuse, dissatisfying sexual performance.)

  • Family Issues
(Problems arising from changes in the family structure due to divorce, significant change of residence causing the loss of community, the arrival of a new child, as well as challenges arising from inadequately developed communication and parenting skills.)

  • Adolescent Issues
(Problems arising from identity issues, oppositional-defiant behavior, poor communication, school challenges, feelings of isolation, poor anger management skills, and suicidal and/or morbid preoccupations.)

  • Divorce Mediation / Conflict Resolution
(Problems arising from entrenched conflict within a marriage or between friends and/or colleagues.)

  • Spiritual Emergency
(Problems arising from an identity crisis due to significant changes in perspective of self, relationships, occupation, norms, values and more because of a spiritual awakening or spiritual experience.)

Think on This

As acorns do not give rise to maple trees, each person is called to live the purposeful seed of truth that enlivens his or her own soul -- not some other person's truth. In so doing, each of us matures into a genuine person, bearing fruit that is vital to one's happiness and to the wellbeing of the world.

Coaching Testimonials

"I met with Carl to talk about the stress factors in my life. As a life coach he helped me balance school, work, and home life. He encouraged me to focus on my goals, and I did with positive results. I recommend him for those who really want to work hard and be successful in life."

Amie H., Spokane, WA

"I have been working with Carl as my life coach for several months. As we've worked together, I've found Carl to be tremendously insightful and intuitive. He guides and suggests with an ease and gentleness that is very comfortable to flow with. I look forward to each coaching session knowing that I will come away with a new understanding and calmness. Highly recommend!"

Laura K., Sun Valley, ID

“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both.” -- James A. Michener
